These anomalies often become obvious when a company’s requirements cross borders: in some cases, you may even be forced to sign a new contract with an overseas branch despite years of working with your advisors on your home soil. Another downside of such an approach is the fact that the client will have to pay for the coordination of the advisors’ offices, as well as other overheads, irrespective of whether the client uses any extra services or not.

We have developed excellent working relationships with virtually all Export Credit Agencies (ECAs) in the world. The facilities, offered by most of them, are very similar in nature as are driven by OECD Standards. Whether Direct Lending Scheme, State Guarantees, Project Finance or Insurance, such products are offered to both exporters and importers, for the projects which otherwise would not qualify for support from Commercial Lenders. Avicon will be able to analyse your financing requirements, expectations and will be responsible for the project management on your behalf, from feasibility studies, through your case presentation to the lenders and up to disbursement and debt clearance. Usually, ECA financing is granted for longer terms, and is available for Medium ($50M-$80M) to Large ($100M+) projects. And while interest rates are sometimes very attractive, the process can be cumbersome and often involves creative approach to the transaction arrangement.

Business Analytics, or as it is also known as Business Intelligence*, is a relatively new branch in management science, which includes cross-disciplinary approach to analysis and forecast of business data. Depending on the transaction in question, it heavily relies on demographic trends, resources consumption and distribution, accounting (both management and customary reporting), marketing analysis, media coverage and management audit.

It is then processed using Applied Business Research, where all primary and secondary data compiled and prioritised, using rigours methods, used in fundamental (scientific) research. This allows to separate individual opinions and noise from the facts, and use research-derived data for further processing: using Modelling & Simulation, we can build an accurate picture of what a business should be expecting (short, medium and long term), and even more importantly, what the firm should be focusing on.

Business Analytics studies not only at the customer, but its immediate competition, expected technological developments and other internal and external challenges. That, in a form of a simple SWOT analysis, or a more detailed Risk-Mapping/Sensitivity Analysis, will help businesses to adjust their strategies.

* Business Intelligence sometimes means using computing power (IT) to process raw business data and information. At Avicon, we believe that Business Intelligence goes far beyond that, as requires more than just pure number crunching - interpretation. While algorithms have become very sophisticated indeed, it is often a product of a group of software engineers, and as such reflect their logic at the time of the code’s release, and, therefore, may not take into account rapid changes, recent developments or omitted factors.
